Dwarf Planets & Asteroids

Dwarf Planets & Asteroids

Dwarf planets are like regular planets, but smaller! The most famous dwarf planet is Pluto, which used to be called the 9th planet.

Between Mars and Jupiter, there's a belt full of space rocks called asteroids! Some are as small as cars, others are as big as mountains.

These space rocks are leftovers from when the solar system was formed billions of years ago. They're like cosmic building blocks!

💡

Fun Fact!

There are more than 1 million asteroids in the asteroid belt, but if you put them all together, they would be smaller than our Moon!
