Event Horizon

Event Horizon

The event horizon is like an invisible boundary around a black hole - it's the "point of no return!" Once anything crosses this line, it can never come back out.

Think of it like a cosmic waterfall. If you're in a boat and you go over the edge of a waterfall, you can't paddle back up. The event horizon works the same way with gravity!

The event horizon isn't a solid surface you can see or touch. It's more like an invisible line in space that marks where the black hole's gravity becomes too strong to escape from.

💡

Fun Fact!

The event horizon of a black hole made from our Sun would be only about 6 kilometers (3.7 miles) across!
